Tyshawna Webb is the Built to Worship Fitness Founder. In addition to her many achievements, she has always been involved in the community and possesses many talents. Her educational background includes a Master’s in Architecture from Hampton University (Hampton, VA), a major in Fine Art at Arts Highschool (Newark, NJ), and training in ballet at Garden State Ballet (Newark, NJ).

In addition to her education, art, and dance background, Tyshawna has worked as a National Trainer for MixxedFit® (certified over 150 instructors). Her experience leading up to becoming a National Trainer included teaching as a Zumba & Zumba Gold Certified instructor, AFAA Group Fitness Certified, CEO of TSpell Designs (A graphic design company), and co-author of a natural hair how-to book titled “Kinks to Curls.” Tyshawn is currently employed as a Public Relations Director/Marketing and Financial Literacy Chair by Old Dominion University Auxiliary Business Services, as well as the Founder of the dance fitness ministry – Built to Worship (BTW) Fitness LLC – a praise and edification dance fitness company certifying 40+ instructors founded in 2018.

Why BTW? BTW was inspired and produced by Tyshawna’s submission to how God desired to shape, form, and fashion every part of her life. “It was time to give 100% and let God take the lead,” says Tyshawna. She answered how God was calling her to move with Him. When she chose to love God more than anything and anyone else, she realized every aspect of her life now had to reflect her beliefs. She then vowed only to teach classes representing her biblical belief, and BTW came in that sacrifice (3 John 1:2).

BTW’s class began to develop as Tyshawna grasped her divine purpose in fitness/dance. This truly became a class that was “The atmosphere of fitness, edification, and praise.” BTW’s platform provides a cardio workout between 500-800 calories burned/hour, an atmosphere of worship, peace, and edification, toning within the routine, prayer, and a safe place to surrender to God and the Word of God.
