Nicki Jones, Founder of NickiFit

Nicki Jones

Nicki Jones is a wife, mother, businesswoman, and founder of NickiFit. Though she excelled in the corporate world, her passion was building a fitness career. 2010, Jones founded NickiFit, a personal training and group exercise company with commitment, consistency, and control at its core. Her volunteer efforts spread across the community as a Coach Ambassador for Girls on the Run Kansas City and as a fitness mentor for Jackson County Family Court.

Affectionately nicknamed “the pied piper of exercise,” Nicki’s ability to lead and motivate has helped many people achieve goals in both inner well-being and physical improvement. Unlike most brands, NickiFit thrives by the fitness-for-free model. Nicki developed this model through community partnerships, hosting several free group exercise classes every week throughout the Kansas City area.

Partnerships have included Front Porch Alliance, LINC, Kansas City Public Schools, Mary L. Kelly Community Center, United Believers Community Church, Operation Breakthrough, Kansas City Public Library, and Kansas City Parks and Recreation. Nicki Jones holds personal training, group exercise, health coach, nutrition, and exercise therapy certifications from the American College of Sports Medicine and the International Science Sports Association.

NickiFit has appeared in several media outlets, including Kansas City Star, WDAF-Fox4 News, and Great Day KC. NickiFit is in Michael Price’s award-winning mini-documentary, Libraries Out Loud: A Literacy Beyond Words, and will also be featured in the national documentary Free for All by Serendipity Films (n.d).

“What comes from the heart reaches the heart” is one of Nicki’s favorite sayings. Serving others through training, coaching, and instructing is definitely from her heart. NickiFit is purposed to ensure that people move toward cultivating a healthy lifestyle without ever looking back.
