Antonio Keys

Antonio’s journey into fitness has been unique. Antonio is a former two sport collegiate athlete and former professional arena football player. He is also a licensed Minister at The Potters House in Dallas (2011). In addition, Antonio has provided spiritual leadership as a Chaplin in track and field at the University of Texas Arlington and in basketball at the University of Texas San Antonio.

Antonio is also a former high school girls Head Basketball and Track coach. An interesting fact is that he led his girls and boys to state runner up two years in a row. Adding more, Antonio has mentored several girls and boys and helped them achieve athletic scholarships.

So how did Antonio start Zumba? Since Antonio was at high risk for hypertension, his primary physician encouraged him to do more cardio instead of weight training. His wife invited him to her Zumba class and after a time he was hooked. Years later he was coteaching with his wife. The fitness journey with his wife led him to Strong Nation and MixxedFit.

Antonio is also a Special Education teacher and has been teaching and coaching children for over 15 years. He has a unique approach to behavior therapy and as a result he has been able to help several children of all ages. An interesting fact is that Antonio coached three sports at the Special Olympics.

Last but not least Antonio is an independent trainer as a professional Sports Performance coach.
