Antonio, also known as “Tono,” is a ZIN™ who was first introduced to Zumba® in 2010 while playing the Zumba® Fitness video game at work. In 2011, some friends challenged him to experience his first Zumba® class, and he was hooked.
Antonio became a ZIN™ in 2013, initially to enjoy the perks and continue being a Zumba® enthusiast. In 2015, he began teaching at Rehearsal Works in Sumner, Washington. He now teaches at the Federal Way Community Center while also substituting at DanceFit City in Renton.
Antonio has had the opportunity to support Zumba® Presenter Lisa Marie as a dancer in her Fly Girl 101 sessions at ZINCON in 2018 and 2019. Since 2015, he has hosted an annual Jackson Edition Masterclass around Michael Jackson’s birthday to benefit charitable organizations. Since 2018, he has also hosted an annual Purple Masterclass honoring the music of Prince and related artists.
Antonio frequently volunteers and assists fellow instructors with fundraisers, establishing classes, and choreography. In April 2017, he and Rachel Evans of Norwich were recognized as Zumba® Unsung Heroes for their efforts to raise funds for a local hospice support group in England.
His love for Zumba® and supporting his fellow ZINs™ has taken him far beyond Washington. Antonio has instructed in various cities throughout Virginia, Florida, Idaho, Oregon, California, and Maryland, as well as internationally in Belgium and England.
Antonio has become known for his energetic teaching style, fun choreography, loyalty to his attendees, and genuine love for people and important causes.
