Rosalind “Roz” Rawls is a seasoned group fitness instructor and personal trainer with over 31 years of experience in the fitness industry. A lifelong advocate for physical activity since seventh grade, Roz’s passion for fitness became her professional calling in 1993 when a gym owner recognized her natural leadership and energy in class, inviting her to teach step aerobics. That opportunity marked the beginning of a remarkable career dedicated to empowering others to lead healthier lives.
Certified through the Athletics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) and MixxedFit, Roz specializes in teaching step, kickboxing, body strengthening, and the high-energy MixxedFit format. Her classes are celebrated for their motivating and inclusive environment, making fitness both fun and accessible for participants of all fitness levels.
Roz has taught at numerous gyms, including Charley’s Body Shop, Bally’s, New Lady Fitness, Club Fitness, and Gold’s Gym, leaving a lasting impact on each community she served. Additionally, she worked as the St. Louis Well-Being Coordinator at Boeing for 16 years, where she played a pivotal role in promoting employee wellness. Under her leadership, the St. Louis site won the $15k charity award 7 out of 10 times in the Boeing on the Move Site Competition, achieving the highest employee participation in the large site category.
Roz’s approach to fitness is rooted in her belief that “Bodies are designed to move.” This philosophy drives her to create empowering, results-driven environments where individuals can improve their fitness while enjoying the journey. She believes that movement is not just about fitness, but about life—and she strives to help her clients embrace this mindset.
A proud mother of three daughters (two bonus) and one son, as well as a grandmother to six grandchildren, Roz has been happily married for 40 years. Her commitment to health and wellness extends beyond the gym, inspiring her family, friends, and community to live their best, most active lives.
