Julia started dancing at the young age of three, training in jazz, tap, and ballet, until graduating high school. In college, she trained and performed with a local hip-hop based company,Triplethreat Dance Co., where she stayed as a troupe member for the next ten years.
Julia transitioned to teaching and creating her own choreography after leaving Triplethreat in 2009. She taught at LA Fitness, Sano Fitness Studio, and other private studios in the Phoenix area.
In 2014, Julia swapped out her dance shoes for trainers to focus on CrossFit. It wasn’t until 2021, after discovering MixxedFit, that her passion for teaching was reignited. Julia currently teaches at VASA Fitness, and the YMCA. She also acts as a National Trainer for MixxedFit.
Julia’s mission is to empower individuals to focus on health, wellness, and strength – not the number reflected on the scale. Individual blueprints to health vary like anything else: genetics, background, and socio-economic and generational impacts. Julia feels that a person’s fitness is not their size.
