Erika Malone, Zumba and MixxedFit Instructor

Erika Malone

Erika Malone is a licensed Zumba® and MixxedFit® instructor, currently pursuing her NASM/AFAA Group Fitness Certification. With over six years of experience teaching Zumba—including specialized training in Zumba Kids, Zumba Kids Jr., and Rhythms 2—and four years of teaching MixxedFit, Erika brings energy, heart, and a deep sense of purpose to every class she leads.

A proud St. Louis native, Erika is a devoted wife and mother of two beautiful children. Her life is rooted in faith, family, and fitness—in that sacred order.

Erika’s love for dance began early, though financial constraints limited her access to formal training as a child. It wasn’t until high school that she discovered her natural talent. Since then, she has embraced a variety of dance styles, including praise, ballet, jazz, and African dance, enriching her movement vocabulary and deepening her connection to the art.

Her journey as a dance fitness instructor began after the heartbreaking loss of her mother. Motivated by her mother’s wise words—“Take care of yourself so you can care for others”—Erika embarked on a transformative wellness journey. Through that process, she not only found strength and self-love but also reignited her passion for dance and her calling to uplift others.

Inspired by her fitness mentor and instructors at her local gym, Erika combined her love of dance, commitment to fitness, and desire to serve others. Today, she empowers her students to prioritize both physical and spiritual well-being through movement, joy, and community.

Her motto: Movement is Medicine
