Daena Ramos, COMMIT & Zumba Instructor

Daena Ramos

Daena has been teaching since February 2024. She may be new to the dance fitness world, but she is no stranger to dance itself. Her love for dance first sparked during her undergraduate days at Loyola University Chicago where she was Co-Captain of NVUS Dance group.

Years later, she found herself going to all of the dance fitness classes at her local gym and thoroughly enjoyed being the class and instructor’s “hype woman” until one day she was told by an instructor, “You should be an instructor!”

From then on, the idea kept growing until she went for it and began instructing immediately after getting certified. The love of fostering a united space where all can come and “let loose” is why she does what she does. Dance fitness has become her mental sanctuary where others like her enjoy a great time while sweating it out!

Daena is a Chicago native with Puerto Rican heritage. Her professional background is in Higher Education helping college students navigate the college process. Daena’s most recent accomplishments and now the most important loves of her life, next to her husband Erick, are her 2 sweet little girls: Ezri & Vivian!!!
