Maribel Garcia is a Chicago born Latina who started teaching Dance Fitness in 2014 after losing over 80lbs. Maribel is driven by her passion wholeheartedly. She started teaching Zumba in 2014 and continues to teach this format. She is also an Aqua Instructor since 2015 and has been teaching since. In 2015, she became a MixxedFit instructor and was a MixxedFit’s Master Educator for about 6 years. She was a huge influence in assisting with the growth of the MixxedFit community in Illinois. In 2020, she joined COMMIT Dance Fitness and shortly thereafter became a COMMIT Ambassador and is currently assisting their growth in Illinois. She started as the only instructor for the state of Illinois and now there are up to 40 licensed instructors. COMMIT is now available at multiple gyms and studios throughout the city and surrounding states.
Maribel recently embarked on a new journey and is one the founders of Dirty Dolls Dance Fitness. Dirty Dolls Dance Fitness is a new format that brings out the realness, rawness, and sensuality of every individual through dance and fitness. Maribel uses her formats and platform to help serve the community. She has assisted and organized multiple fundraisers for multiple charity organizations such as Make-A-Wish, American Heart Association, Autism Speaks, and TACA, just to name a few.
Maribel’s mission is to make anyone who walks into her class feel included and welcome. She understands the struggles of starting your fitness journey and knows that the support and motivation you receive makes this process fun and easy.
